It's a waste of Greg's precious free time.

I was lmao the entire time. This and the marriage/dating advice one are way up there. Can’t believe how much we have in common; sane exact reasons why showering sucks. But your wife is right, hiking is to stay away lol

I listen to a ridiculous number of podcasts. Most of them are true crime - doubt that's your jam, so I'll skip those. Two recent favorites by the same folks are: Criminal - yes, it's true crime, but often takes a different angle and they aren't typically gruesome. The most recent episode was called "Ghostwatch" and is about a BBC special in the early '90s that was the birth of documentary-style horror. Really interesting. This is Love - done by the same crew as Criminal, but the stories are about Love. Unconventional love stories - I honestly didn't think I'd like it, but they're so light-hearted and short enough not to lose me. The Dollop - American History. Very funny, often political but interesting nonetheless. Not depressing, which I appreciate. Noble Blood - A history podcast about royalty and monarchs. Not funny, but really well done. Again, these are often shorter so I appreciate that!

TalkVille is a smallville rewatch podcast with Michael Rosenbaum and Tom Welling. They watch and review the episodes and give background on the filming etc. I’m enjoying it. They’ve had a few costars call in too, good to relive smallville after so long.

Podcast recommendations: Gundog - Gary is creating such an amazing story here and the voice acting is great. Cult Podcast - Informative and hilarious podcast about cults. Current multi part episode is about the Inquisition. Digital Forensics in Real Life - Great story and interviews from people who have worked on cases with computer evidence The Wrestling News Podcast- 7-10 minutes of your daily wrestling news across multiple companies Black Box Down - Gus and Chris from RT talk about aviation incidents

I couldn't disagree more about showers. Showers are relaxing and refreshing to me. I get the same feeling I would taking a nice bath or sitting in a hot tub. It's not quite as enjoyable as those, but still has a similar effect and is also practical in that I'm getting clean. I like to have that time with my thoughts as well. But I'm also someone who goes on a walk just to have a nice think in the same way Gen likes hikes. Idk if you take a look at the older gregway comments or just the most recent, but I wonder if walking Porty also felt like a waste of time? Not throwing shade at all, just genuinely curious. I can relate more to not liking to take the time to get a haircut, but that feels so much more time consuming to me and doesn't have the enjoyable aspect to it like I get from a shower.

The Skeptics Guide to the Universe is a fun, once a week science news podcast that is a lot more fun that most others of its kind (for me). I've loved for about a decade!

Max Gingold

Also ‘The Weekly Planet’ is one of the best podcasts outside of Kinda Funny out there! 2 Aussie mates talking about games, tv and movies in a very Aussie style! Highly recommend

Tim Ridley

Try taking a cold shower mate, I guarantee you won’t spend any more time in there than absolutely necessary! 😜

Tim Ridley

Showers are a crazy waste of time but a nice playlist helps Podcast recommendations: Crash Dummies Podcast- Two friends talking about current events and about scenarios that probably will never happen. Unlocking us with Brene Brown- Conversations that unlock the deeply human part of who we are, so that we can live, love, parent, and lead with more courage and heart. The Danny Brown Show- THE DANNY BROWN SHOW IS A WEEKLY PODCAST EXPLORING THE CRAZIEST STORIES AND MOST UNBELIEVABLE CORNERS OF THE INTERNET THROUGH THE LENS OF DANNY’S HILARIOUSLY UNIQUE POINT OF VIEW.

A great podcast to listen to is How Did This Get Made?. It is Paul Scheer, June Diane Raphael and Jason Mantzoukas watching bad movies then discussing/joking about them. Similar to In Review but usually bad movies.

JackStayPuft

2 bears 1 cave is great. very funny don't have to pay close attention or keep up with anything. great for casual listening and laughs.

JackStayPuft

Welcome to Nightvale is very good and probably the only thing I can recommend that Greg may enjoy. Was never able to fully invest time in it but what I heard I enjoyed.

JackStayPuft

Showers and doing laundry are the biggest waste of time on the planet. They are my achilles heel

Gavin Goss

Also have you ever heard of The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz? I feel like someone at KF should listen to it.

Matt Batson

Love that when I finally catch up on listening to Gregways it’s the episode where I just catch a stray right in the middle of it

Matt Batson

Smartless and armchair expert are both great podcasts

JefftheMaverick

Not sure if you’re a big Always Sunny in Philadelphia fan but their podcast the Always Sunny Podcast is incredible. I think Roger said he listens to it on the previous Next Gen Podcast.

Jacob Jagodzinski

There's a comic podcast where David interviews a different creator. It's called "Off Panel'

Ronald E. Goode III

The Oreo Boy should of course listen to Dough Boys, a podcast about chain restaurants.

David Taylor

Similar to Batman Unburied, Marvel has a set of radio type shows called Wastelanders that's set in a Old Man Logan universe where the villains have one. There's a few seasons out that all focus on a specific character like Starlord, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Logan, and Doom. Has a little bit of backlog and is fun to listen to the world get fleshed out season over season.

Brian Martinez

"Wrestling With Freddie" is a great podcast about AEW, WWE, and independent wrestling hosted by Freddie Prinze Jr. (Was a writer for wwe) and Jeff Dye. Also "2 Bears, 1 Cave with Tom Segura & Bert Kreischer" is great.

XadeChronos

I’ll also post the one political podcast I listen to: Q-Anon Anonymous. It started as a podcast that tracked Q-Anon and it’s story from the very beginning and how it’s spiraled out into several different movements, many of which are dangerous. I know this kind of thing can be a lot for some people, but it’s kept me incredibly informed and it’s also genuinely funny.

Podcast recommendations: Batman: Unburied: A spotify exclusive, this Batman radio drama stars Winston Duke from Black Panther and Us as Bruce Wayne, only this time his parents aren’t dead, he’s a doctor as well, but he’s the GCPD coroner. A new serial killer has him rattled and he’s starting to have memories about a bat… man? It’s great. It’s really awesome to see a cast full of POCs take on Gotham’s most iconic characters as well. The Lazarus Heist: Remember the movie The Interview and how people were worried it might spark a war with North Korea? That was the tip of the ice berg. This is a short form documentary series about how much more involved the infamous sony hack was and how it affected national security. Story Time with Seth Rogen: Speaking of The Interview’s star Seth Rogen, he made a very lovely, highly produced story telling podcast during Covid. He sits down with different celebs and they tell him a story which is then produced with sound effects, music and becomes very immersive. I enjoyed this one while cooking dinner. Guests include Paul Rudd, Quinta Brunson, David Crosby, Ike Barinholz and more. Voice of the Iceberg: A short 6 episode podcast from New Zealand that documents a crew as they record icebergs for a giant art installation. The sound on this one is really incredible, the narration is very soothing and the woman speaking has a very interesting accent. Play on a good stereo or with headphones because it is incredibly immersive. Welcome to Nightvale: And Lastly for the Halloween Spirit an older and very famous podcast that I just started listening to. It’s performed as a bulletin style radio show from a small very weird town. Announcements of strange beings, helicopters hovering over town you shouldn’t look at, temporal anomalies, but all told with the same effort as the morning traffic and weather report. There’s something eerie but also soothing and relaxing about it. I think this is maybe the most Greg podcast out of all of them.

djKENTO

I love the podcast "No such thing as A fish" where they bring 4 funny/weird facts every week. From the researchers of qi in the UK.

Christopher Strand

Besides other gaming podcast, I listen to wrestling podcasts.all of them.Who's ur favorite, greg

Paul smith

Podcasts I exclusively listen to in the car: Dear Hank & John: Pretty sure you've heard of it since you were on it once. ANMA: A podcast where Gus and Geoff (along with Eric) talk about when they first met in Austin and the early days of Rooster Teeth. Fly on the Wall: Dana Carvey and David Spade interview notable cast members, writers, musical guests and hosts from the history of Saturday Night Live. Notable ones I used to listen to: The Way I Heard It: Mike Rowe tells the story of a famous person but doesn't reveal who it is until the very end (Like Paul Harvey used to if you're ancient). I stopped listening because it eventually just became interviews which wasn't what I was there for, but there's like 100-150 episodes before that. Black Box Down: Gus tells Chris Demarais about notable airplane crashes, what caused them, and how they changed the airline industry going forward to prevent that from ever happening again. I stopped listening because I listen to podcasts at 2X speed (it's the only way to keep up, as it is I'm about 2 months behind because of how little I'm in the car these days) and Gus' speech patterns are very hard to understand at that speed. On second thought this one might not be good since Barrett is with you and he's already a super nervous flyer. That being said it could have the opposite effect and make him potentially more comfortable with flying by hearing about how rare plane crashes actually are when considering how many flights there are every day.

Shawn (AKA ShabeRaven)

Story Break from Freddie Wong and Rocket Jump is a great podcast, they take ridiculous ideas for movies and break the story into a real pitch. Very funny and interesting story driven content. They don’t make it anymore but there is a huge backlog. They did one early on about Clippy the Microsoft Office paper clip which featured Elyse, I would start there or with the Jar Jar Binks movie early on

Michael Duggan

Have you ever listened to The Daily by The New York Times? They are daily (ha) and around 30 minutes, so can be knocked out quickly in a commute. I’ve recently fallen in love with it - they get some amazing people on to interview and tell their story that typically is relevant to the current news. Highly recommend. I don’t listen to much else (outside of gaming) - so that’s all I got!

Lauren Wilson

Showering is awful! It's 10-15 minutes I'm never going to get back, but I don't want to smell or feel bad. I've got a shower alarm set every day before I go to bed. The thing about haircuts for me is the awkwardness of kind of enjoying someone doing things to my hair, but I'm also awkwardly silent because I hate small talk. I've got a few podcast recommendations: Invisibilia - NPR podcast. It's all about the unseeable forces that control human behavior. It's a mix of storytelling and science with a great evergreen backlog. The Bay - Bay Area news podcast covering one topic per episode. One of my former classmates from high school co-hosts and co-runs this one. It's a KQED production. 20-30 min episodes. The Director's Cut - Directors interviewing other directors about specific movies of theirs, usually recent releases. You can pick and choose episodes based on what you're interested in. Throughline - NPR podcast about linking the past and the present. No Stupid Questions - Co-hosted by Stephen Dubner of Freakonomics and research psychologist Angela Duckworth. The two hosts discuss one question (formerly two) and try to get to some kind of answer. Very informal, but also very informative. About 35 minutes each per episode. Hope this helps!

David Portnov

We Have Concerns with Anthony Carboni and Jeff Cannata is great

Skye MacDoanld

You should sing while you shower. I’ve been doing it lately since I’m living alone, I have my Google Home device in my bathroom that I use as a speaker, and I’ve been enjoying it a lot. Something about the acoustics in the shower makes it better. And I know you like to sing. And about getting a haircut, yeah I also hate it. Having to go do it is another chore to do. But I hate having long hair even more, so.

Ignacio Rojas

Sounds like greg about to beat god war ragnorak

Paul smith

Wrestling podcast?

Paul smith

Do the next Gregway from inside the shower. Lol. Knock them both out at the same time

Joe Thompson

Barrett has already been on a Gregway lol
