Let's get some Christmas theme stuff over the break for your gregways, like what's your favorite christmas-themed game or Christmas theme content that gets added to the game that you enjoyed the most.

Great Gregway today, happy to hear you'll be doing content over the break, but don't beat yourself up if you miss a few days - it's your break too. Not looking to yuk anybody's yum, but is it weird that seemingly nobody is talking about if the working conditions at CDPR have improved post Cyberpunk, yet a ton of people are ready to endorse the leadership there with their dollars for the Witcher Remaster? I'm not saying that people should boycott etc, maybe I'm just a little disappointed that games media in general haven't held the leadership at CDPR (and other studios) to the fire when we've previously pushed for better working conditions for the people who make the games we love. I know I personally have a hard time separating art from artist, and maybe my train of thought is bleeding into this, but even things like the rhetoric of 'fuck Bobby Kotic and his cronies' has died down. Last year Goeff Keighley called them out, but this year, didn't catch a peep from him. Is that a result of working with them to promote the new Crash game etc, who knows... Guess I'm just hopeful that we as an industry don't throw out moral compass out the window when a developer/publisher with toxic tendencies unveils a shiny new thing that we're excited about.

Question for a future Gregway: In September, I'll be graduating with a Masters in journalism. I have a few decent bylines (Saturday Evening Post, Dictionary.com, and I was the EiC of my university newspaper) but I still don't really know what I want to write about professionally. For a long time it was games, but after seeing all of the volatility in the games journalism industry over the last few years I am very hesitant and am thinking about pivoting to culture, variety, or local news. No matter what I end up doing, I'm going to need creative ideas to break into the industry. How did you come up with your first story ideas when you worked for the newspaper, and do you have any advice for me as a freelancer in 2022? Thanks!
