MN gov had a late night press conference. the framing was disgusting. of note he talked about the "rioters" who supposedly surrounded a semi, forcing the driver to stop, and then looted it. what the fuck? i'm pretty sure you just made that up dude. and even if you didn't, it doesn't matter, because it's not fucking relevant to why the fuck this is happening. my first read on governor dad is that he doesn't even realize what he is doing by repeating that anecdote. watching his press conference, his delivery, body language, i'm pretty sure he is just a useful idiot for the continuation of the power structure. he really thinks this is just a small sector of the population that are "acting out" and who are opportunists who love to steal stuff from burnt-out shops and destroy public property. and the real icing on the cake from this guy's presser: more than once he emphasized the "danger" that the cops are putting themselves in by going into the streets. with a straight face he said that at least twice lmfao. i mean come the fuck on. you're showing the ball a little too much there pal. so it seems the goal of mainstream media and whoever is behind governor whatever the fuck and all these other neolibs is to keep the greater public confused about why this is happening. mister and misses nebraska may agree at times about the need for police reform, but then they watch msnbc and see an arby's on fire and they hear msnbc's disgusting framing and as a result they feel confused. so... "oh well." when the public is confused, public pressure doesn't exist, and without popular sway the systemic racism within law enforcement and within *everything* *else* remains protected. is there a more entrenched power structure than white supremacy in law enforcement? why is msnbc covering the gas station that got burned down and never getting within a mile of the actual fucking reason that this is happening? do you think maybe msnbc is in on it? doesn't it seem weird that msnbc would be against reforms to move towards racial equality in law enforcement? why are, yet again, both parties in agreement on something? is the maintenance of the current power structure more important than everything else? NYT headline from friday, after chauvin was arrested, said he was arrested for "pressing his knee" into george floyd's neck pressing his fucking knee dude why is the nyt on the wrong side, as usual, but especially ON THIS? why is msnbc on the wrong side again? 2020 the year when all the masks came off keep burning shit down until they get it i fucking love it
