no really guys this was a great nuanced discussion, I very much enjoyed it.

HARDCORE RULES

Leftovercraic

If you haven't you guys should check out Dutch punk and hadcore for explicitly political stuff such as The Rondos or the whole Red Edge scene of bands like ManLiftingBanner (10"s That Shook The World is a killer record), Feeding The Fire and later Seein' Red.

Lilburne Level

I thought this podcast was very on point except for the idea that leftist punk can be very interchangeable with fascist punk when you exchange the word Jew with "they" in left wing punk. It's sort of like saying they are ultimately the same thing. Also, right wing punk is extremely explicit in its lyrics, and left wing anti fascist punk very explicitly has lyrics that are in no way confused with fascist punk. This was a fairly weak point in and otherwise great podcast. Fascist recruitment in Canada is done exactly this way by slowly grooming alienated youth.

"those fashy frenchos" like there arent a hundred shitty racist metal bands from ontario too lol don cherry ass

Tynan Dion

Guilty of being white is fucked but I think I agree it’s better for a dumb15 year old confused about race relations to hear that outright and deal with it on blunt terms later than fall into black metal or more crypto fash/white power stuff and be inculcated with it in a less overt wY
