Im so glad you guys took this tack. Im so tired of the endless pontification and bloviating about free speech on the left. I get it.Its not a hard concept to grasp. Can we move on please? Its such a narrow thing to focus on relentlessly. I live in a red state in the deep south. Im so tired of hearing about the evils of wokeness wokeness wokeness wokeness wokeness wokeness wokeness. If anything I feel like I have to tiptoe around peoples feelings as a non racist.

I consistently just check out of these conversations about it, because even communists just wind up in these incredibly idealist and ahistorical ways of talking about "free speech" that don't even address our OWN experience of speech suppression in the US as communists.
