I think it might be effective however appealing to working class people if the left talks about the concept of “freedom” broadly speaking. Are you free if you have to work a wage job for a boss who would fire you on the spot, destroying your livelihood, losing your housing and potentially healthcare (if you’re lucky enough to have it). Are we free if we’re being spied on by the feds and corporations who use our personal information to profit and exploit us? “Positive” freedoms refer to the right to pursue opportunities, while “negative” freedoms talk about freedom from obstacles. Not a fully fleshed out thought just some brainstorming.

As a long time wobbly I am obviously in favor of keeping the organization alive but I absolutely agree that what they IWW offers is some really excellent tools for changing our world (imo the best tools) and those tools aren’t dependent on the IWW itself. No gods. No másters. No hierarchical organizations too. Love and solidarity comrades.
