DLU completely ignored (so, in a way, denied) the possibility that proles could end the madness at any point by refusing their roles within the dictatorship of value. But that would posit a negation of its own logic as a (film-)commodity, so generally not appealing to even the wokest sections of the bourgeoisie.

Right now, we're at the point of the movie where Dr. Mindy gets out of the car and sees the comet. The IPCC deadline to halve carbon emissions by 2030 is represented by the joint Chinese/Indian mission. The dinner scene is NOT the present. It's the 2030s.
