Little fun question: What are the best, modern wrestling theme songs, and how high up that list is Shinsuke Nakamura's?

2023-06-20 21:31:54 +0000 UTCquick q! having Ben on Games Daily was great! he mentioned that he was a best friend and had me thinking. How do you deal with para social relationships? i know a LOT about your life, good bad etc, but you dont even know if this is my real name. How do you keep the balance of wanting a close knit community of having people wanting to come up and say hi, to those who may take it a bit too far. Thanks! <3

2023-06-20 14:33:47 +0000 UTCI still have a Game Informer subscription, but mostly for the Gamestop rewards benefits. I get the print issue monthly and flip through it, but don't read it in too much detail. Honestly don't remember seeing your E3 article a few months back.

2023-06-20 12:39:23 +0000 UTCI had a subscription and I used to love it as a kid I wish the industry didn't move so fast so they weren't outdated by the time you get them but it's just how the cookie crumbles

It's as you say, we are in the moment and I can consume KFGD while cooking dinner, or as a podcast while driving. Print media just isn't conducive to all that.

2023-06-20 07:18:39 +0000 UTCI had a subscription when I was 11 and I kept it until I was 16. Hated going into a GameStop and getting repeatedly pestered to reinstate the subscription but with sites like IGN the subscription became less and less worthwhile.

2023-06-20 01:44:39 +0000 UTCI not only read Game Informer, but I've had a subscription since issue 151. I would pay a rather large sum for physical copies of 1-150 and a stretch of issues from 2011 when my subscription was bizarrely switched to digital only and I can't go back to revisit that segment. Having the full set of issues would be nice, as being able to say I own the complete set... Plus, I used GameInformers as my primary sources for my history thesis almost a decade ago. So I owe GameInformer the 97 I made that got me bachelors degree. I don't mind the content is (mostly) out of date by the time I get my physical copy every four-six weeks, but its gaming history I go back and revisit from time to time as it's a wonderful snapshot in time to see what some of the conversation was about games before we knew how they panned out.

2023-06-20 00:23:09 +0000 UTCAbsolutely not. I started receiving issues 110 through 125 as a kid. Issue 110 was a THPS4 cover and back then they had a "Secret Access" section where they would print various cheat codes to popular games like Spider-Man for the PS2. I've had a current subscription since 2014 when I started working at a GameStop as Store Keyholders got the Pro membership for free but the only time I read them was on shift during a slow period. I also do not believe getting GI without Power Rewards is possible now as even the GI site subscribe button takes you to GameStop's website. Power-Up Rewards now come standard with the digital subscription and opting into the print version is $5 more which for most people I asked in 2019 wasn't worth it.

2023-06-20 00:16:34 +0000 UTCI used to read Game Informer, PC Gamer, and Nintendo Power back in the day, but I haven't touched a magazine in probably a decade.

2023-06-19 23:10:20 +0000 UTCFuture gregway idea: with the dceu/snyderverse coming to an end could you look back and give your thoughts on this rough universe. This feels like the first universe that we know is ending for good.

2023-06-19 23:03:43 +0000 UTCNo, I don't read the GameInformer magazine and I haven't since the Beatles Rock Band issue. I just don't get my gaming news monthly like that anymore. I want to be a person who reads the magazine, but I can't really justify that. I miss getting the magazine too, but it was my only news source back when I was reading them. I dug up some of my old issues recently and flipped through them. It was a good time going through memory lane and finding old previews of Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks and Max Payne 3. A lot of those big spreads, at least to me, have now been replaced with videos or podcasts, especially considering how games media has become a lot more personality driven. There's a place for "objective" info, but these days, I really want to know what X person thinks of something. I'm kind of rambling now. In short, I don't read the GameInformer magazine anymore.
