I'm a "use case" as well for portable gaming while sharing a TV with my partner. I was gifted the Steam Deck and I love the idea of it., but practically speaking I feel like the games I would like to play in that format I don't currently have. I'm waiting to see if it is worth it to get the PS Portal versus my already-owned Steam deck. Is the Portal a specific use game changer over the Steam Deck? Games, feel, and quality of life things are what I hope to know before investing further in either ecosystem
