October Updates: Rewards, Duckstream, and Bloodborne

October Updates Hey everyone! Sorry this channel has been quiet. Between getting ready for the live show and the general day-to-day of keeping the network running, sending out updates here has taken a back seat. I have a couple of things to bring to your attention. ##PATRON REWARDS Due to the Portland Retro Gaming Expo, the backer rewards (namely the post cards and the t-shirt) are going out a little later than we would like. You can expect your post cards in about a week if you backed at that level. ##DUCKSTREAM We're trying something new at the network: a charity stream. You're going to hear about this on the shows this week, but from November 21 at 9 Eastern / 6 Pacific to November 22 at 9 Eastern / 6 Pacific we are going to be doing a 24 hour live stream marathon to raise money for the TransActive Gender Center. This is the only charity in the United States that focuses solely on providing education and resources for transgendered youth. This is a cause we're passionate about, and we hope you enjoy the event enough to kick a couple of bucks their way. You can find more details about the event as they develop by checking out http://duckfeed.tv/duckstream. If this goes well, we will likely do more things like this in the future. ##BLOODBORNE TIER We are shuffling around our Milestones a bit. Much to our chagrin, Bloodborne is going to be PS4 exclusive. Neither Gary nor I had plans to buy PlayStation 4 systems in the near future, but this exclusivity is forcing our hands. If we hit $1000 per month, we can comfortably defray the costs of two PS4s and two copies of Bloodborne. This is a strange goal for us because we want this campaign to be about raising money to improve our existing content, or create new kinds of content. Looked at in a certain way, this is us asking you for money to pay for new toys. Our intention is solely to make it as easy as possible to continue Bonfireside Chat without incurring more personal financial hardship than is necessary. I want to make it abundantly clear that we are not holding Bonfireside Chat hostage. Even if we don't hit the $1000 mark, we will find ways to make it happen. This milestone and this message are our way of being as honest as possible about this new obstacle, and how you can help us clear it. ***** I think that's about everything. There are a few more specialized messages going out to Early Release and Live Stream backers later today. We're tremendously grateful for your continued support. This month saw our live appearance at PRGE, paid for almost entirely by your generosity. The Street Fighter II episode will go live in November, and we hope you love it, since we had a great time making it. Thanks! Kole
