i am officially headcanoning that IF foggy truly was so confident he'd win, can you imagine if he actually had connections with witness protection first? maybe brett hooked him up as a precaution 😭 & i ~know~ matt heard his heart stop but also there were a lot of hearts stopping in that scene so maybe he mistook it somehow 😭😭😭 leave me with my delusions pls, lol (picturing foggy lowkey sitting in witness protection right now like "well, as soon as my best friends figure it out, i can come back" & then waiting for ages 💀)
on the bright side, at least we finally got a matt/karen/frank team-up :')
also, my apologies to kastle!!! i technically was familiar with your game, but clearly in a much more real sense, i absolutely was NOT familiar with your game (if anyone wants to drop a rundown of important karen & frank scenes from the punisher series for those of us who haven't seen it, pls feel free 🙏)
anyways, i can't wait to see how season 2 unfolds!! who are you hoping to see show up?? i'm rooting for jessica, luke & claire at the bare minimum 😅 we need some more superpowers in this team, lol. but thanks for watching this season with me!! i hope you guys had some fun :)

@5:19: Heather's expressions in the background kill me. Her job is her mission. She wants so bad for Matt to be someone who will focus on her, but he's got his own mission, and it will always take precedence. @12:08: I love how they address Frank's clean-up. Fun Fact: It was probably for The Accountant 2, where he plays the brother of Ben Affleck, i.e. the other Daredevil. @16:35: To play the Daredevil's advocate here, Frank's way of doing things may be cathartic, but it's like cutting off the Hydra's head. Matt's obsession with legal justice on top of extralegal justice allows for the system to change. And if Karen were here, you know her priority would be making sure the truth got out. @22:35: "We could have just knocked him out, Frank." I get it; he didn't shoot a beloved vigilante point blank on the sidewalk. @30:42: I love love love that Frank actually has people skills, but they his absolute last resort. You can absolutely tell this was an 18-episode season that was thrown in a blender, put back together with Elmer's glue, and split into 2 seasons. My deepest hope is that we're getting more Defenders next year, even if it's just a few episode guest roles. Throw in a Runaway, or a Cloak and/or Dagger, or an Agent of SHIELD, and just watch the audience go bananas. We'll even settle for an Inhuman done right.

2025-05-04 22:39:54 +0000 UTCIf you survived the violence in this season, you will be ok watching the Punisher series too, if you're thinking about it. There's some gorey parts, but (imo) nothing that's equal to watching Fisk crush a man's head. (I'm not a huge fan of the violence either, I feel it in my bones and just want to curl up into a ball.) I think you'd absolutely love several of the characters.
