Challenge #2: Shield my mind, Magneto-style, so you stop saying what I say. (Doubly impossible.) Eugene Cordero (Casey) always brings a great vibe to any show he's in. Chaos is a really good description for this episode. It's very fitting that Loki, despite taking the speedrun from villain to hero in Season 1 can't help but flip the proverbial board of the TVA. Not the least of all the absurd assumption that time doesn't exist within the TVA... moments after a meeting about repercussions resulting from Renslayer's actions in its past. My interpretation of what they intend to mean (or rather has to exist in a narrative structure that requires cause and effect) is that the TVA exists in its own bubble where their time isn't synchronized with the rest of the universe. They can travel to and from any point in time and place at will, but nothing can affect the timeline of the TVA and their clock never stops, at least until Loki starts to timeslip within the TVA, forcing the singular TVA timeline to change. Because it's self-consistent, there's no ripple effects, so Loki can only overwrite the past while he's there, and the changes only appear in his present. None of the events in between can change. Also, Miracle Workers.
