@1:49: I swear they toned down Steve and Nat's banter in Winter Soldier because they didn't want people to ship then, and now here they think they can get away with it, because it's just "gals being pals." Their ignorance is our benefit. @3:45: The "Peg" gets me every time. They have movie nights. They are inseparable. @4:16: "I may be an old man." Sir, you are 90 years old. What did super serum did SHIELD give you? @9:45: He did have a Sousa. He had Bucky. Bucky settled down, married, had kids, became the U.S. Secretary of State, is healthier at 90 than most men are at 65. @11:31: On my second viewing, I realized the reason Melina wants Peggy is to study the original superserum so she can make a better Red Guardian than Alexei. @13:49: They spent a lot of time focusing on Melina's metal boots just so we know how much pain Natasha is in from getting kickstomped. @14:43: Natasha must be relatively more secure in this version of her life to the Sacred Timeline. Or, worse, after taking out Dreykov earlier, she created a power vacuum that Melina filled, so now Nat is even more estranged from her "mother." If they come back to this universe, I want to know what Yelena is up to. @14:55: Everyone describes the Cap shield as a Frisbee, but both Peggy and Steve have a habit of using it as an umbrella, especially for Natasha. There were complaints about how WI1x01 stuck a little too close to The First Avengers script, and this was threw a few more ideas into the pot, and it definitely benefited from it. Also... first time the MCU effortlessly nailed girl power; kept the good, rewrote the sloppy. Final thought: every other episode was better for being animation, but this one yearns to be live action.
