currently putting this in the daredevil playlist since we're technically watching it for his throughline into season 3, but i might also make a playlist specifically for this show, too 😅
but marvel mondays are back! 8 episodes standing between us and ~finally seeing daredevil season 3 for the first time~ (not to rush this, though; i'm enjoying seeing jessica & luke again, & the dynamic between all the characters is so much fun already!!) (& claire!! always love seeing her onscreen again 🥺)
i can't wait until they all meet up :')

I just did a Netflix rewatch and IF is SUCH a slog but almost worth it for Colleen - it does REALLY tie into Defenders, though. Almost as much as Daredevil season 2. (Also would like to see Danny back, he works better in a team dynamic)

You'll be fine. @4:27: Do not apologize. This show later throws the four mains' dearest companions in a room together, and Trish is Jessica's. @9:49: Re: Matt with the plaintiff kid. No superpower is more important for a superhero to have than compassion. It is never the wrong move to take a break to demonstrate that a character cares. @29:09: "It's just a city. You'll get used to watching them fall." This is why you pay to get Sigourney Weaver to play your Big Bad. I just want to know if the writer's room was as crowded as the cast list, because everyone came back 100% in character. After years of ArrowVerse crossovers, you get a sense of when a character is being written by another team. The second time around, the color grading is so obvious, but it also immediately acclimates you to which main lead is currently in focus. And speaking of focus, the low-tech way they show Matt's superhearing with nothing but rack focus switches. I'd say Marvel needed to relearn this lesson, but we all just watch Agatha All Along.

2024-11-20 22:00:25 +0000 UTCMaybe it’s just me, but I found Madame Gao to be more menacing when she spoke in Mandarin in Daredevil. I thought her acting was just a bit better then, and others (including Fisk) more deferential to her. I wish they kept that going in this series

I love this show too, but are we gonna get to Deadpool & Wolverine at this rate? I should also remind us all that we have What If season 3 out next month, and I’m certain you won’t wanna miss out on that one. So I REALLY hope we get more X-Men soon. Fingers crossed.
