And sorry, to follow up just in case, I totally understand they’re a necessary evil and it’s a lot easier to get attention. Not to mention, I’m sure I’m totally in the minority here as I’m sure many folks love review scores.

2024-12-09 20:14:43 +0000 UTCI think the one thing for me with reviews is the requirement of a number, and definitive statements. Like saying, “game is not good. 6/10.” Or even, “game is amazing. 9/10.” Like it’s less with KF and more just with how reviews work entirely. I kind of just wish more outlets dropped scores entirely, and simply said, “I don’t personally enjoy this,” or “I absolutely love this.” I just think the industry focuses way too much on scores and these definitive titles rather than actually talking. I fall into that too and I just don’t think that does the game, the industry, the audience, and most importantly the devs, any justice.
