The audio is getting worse. Why not get a small rode mic that clips on? It's a lav mic. Good for this

2025-04-02 12:25:30 +0000 UTCFrom a quick Google search the native iPhone video recording app does not use airpods as a microphone, you would need a third party app to do that (Filmic Pro seems to be the most recommended). This does make sense because the way the rumble of the phone in the mount is being picked up would really make it seem like the phone mic is recording the sound. You should reach out to Eric Baudour. I don't know how he record him, Geoff and Gus for Good Morning Gustovo, but their audio is crazy and they're walking all over Austin as they record (granted they don't do video so that might be part of it). Just a thought.

2025-04-02 03:28:40 +0000 UTCGreg if you are doing a gregway from the office the airpod would be fine. In the car it picks up EVERYTHING including other cars. It's fine when you are parked or at a stop light but it's a poor option for when you are actually driving.
