So some are 1 minute long and others span 30 mins. He's been stuck on Armorer Dennis in the Forest of Fallen Giants for 2+ weeks. It's been cracking me the fuck up.

2016-03-19 23:47:11 +0000 UTCThis one's for Gary, but I'd love to hear anyone else's thoughts on it. Gary's Let's Plays of and references to Binding of Isaac convinced me to give it a shot, and I'm hooked. Incredible on the gameplay. But aesthetically, I'm not as sold. I don't mind the grossness, and I find the exploration of the fantasy/nightmare world of an abused, confused child interesting (the bodily fluids, the enemies being deformed Isaacs, the religious symbolism, etc...). What makes me squirm a bit is the jokes made about abuse whose only purpose seem to be pushing the envelope (i.e., le edgy humor). However, I definitely understand with black comedy it's a fine and difficult line to walk. I'm definitely not attacking your love and support of this game, and it's not your responsibility to be it's defender, but as someone who intelligently speaks to the cultural and social contexts of games I'm curious about your thoughts. Sorry for the length!

2016-03-19 11:55:25 +0000 UTCYou're on record for being pretty anti-Rare with the games that they developed they ported, despite the fact that IMHO they made some really great games for the NES and SNES and I had tons of fun playing GoldenEye with friends in college. Why all the Rare hate? And are there any Rare games that you DO like?
