Are there any weird non-standard character classes in an RPG (tabletop, video game, or otherwise) that you really love? My perennial favorite is the guy from Phantasy Star II who's a shitty mechanic that gets a bunch of techniques based around breaking robots.

2016-05-21 16:10:40 +0000 UTCAll time favorite Fashion souls outfit you put together? If you care for that sort of thing....whiiiiiich I do so hard. Also, am I the only spending what likely amounts to hours in fire link shrine standing close to the wall to zoom in on various pieces of armor to make sure the outfit is just so? Anyways, thanks for the show, it gets me through so much of my work week.

Michael McCormick
2016-05-20 23:33:33 +0000 UTCWhat souls game boss would you most like to play AS against players. Would still be in the same area/circumstances as their normal fights just controlled by you.

2016-05-20 21:37:33 +0000 UTCWhich devil's deal seems more palatable to you: Duckfeed is bought out for an obscene sum and the only caveat is one of your shows, chosen by the new boss, is taken over by a committee-chosen set of hosts, or your personal brand rights are bought out and a Gary/Brayden sitcom debuts this fall on CBS, with guest stars playing other network hosts?

2016-05-20 17:56:06 +0000 UTCHey Gary and Kole, since you've got seven new and exciting podcasts planned or started recently, I wanted to ask: Let's say you're in a fantasy scenario in which you have unlimited time and money to put towards creating your dream show, what would it be? You can answer separately and/or together. And to clarify, you have all the money/resources you need to put on the show, and any time spent on the show doesn’t age you or take time from your day, so there is literally no cost to this (except perhaps the hidden monkey’s paw cost of the mental toil creating art in a timeless vacuum would cause).

2016-05-20 13:54:29 +0000 UTCHello! Love yer pods. What are your least favorite "great games?" I think Bloodborne is mine. I love everything about it except the act of playing the game. It's just too damn hard, and there are just too many poor systemic decisions (as discussed on Bonfireside Chat). Others include Final Fantasy 7 (hated literally every playable character, whatever good plot was there was scuttled by translation problems), Ocarina of Time (Zelda just doesn't work in 3D for me) and any non-Super Metroid game in the Metroid series. I eagerly await your response, and to balance out the negativity, here's a link to the theme song from Golgo 13: Top Secret Episode, maybe the best NES song ever. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHj7MNpAU-Y

2016-05-20 08:26:57 +0000 UTCHey there. Some games seem to require you to play them in immersion-breaking and, for lack of a better term, 'cheesy' ways in order to progress (I'm thinking here of grinding in Final Fantasy Tactics by forcing a lone, frightened goblin to watch you slug down potions and slap your friends around or even Dark Souls' Drake Sword vis-a-vis new players). I'd be interested in hearing your comments on these decisions from a game design standpoint. Do you ever struggle to make take the profitable/quick path? What do you think of the Souls series' quirk of relying on near-impossible inductive leaps in its questlines, which inevitably leads to guide-dependence ?

2016-05-20 01:25:13 +0000 UTCGary and Kole, now that the Duckfeed Wiki is live, how you feel about the handsomeness rankings? Also, how do you feel about the word "handsomeness"?
