Announcement: Changes

A couple of weeks ago, we shared our plans for updating our Patreon campaign to make it better for everyone involved. The response has been overwhelmingly positive. Today, November 1, marks the day we changed everything over. This will entail a certain amount of work on your part, but I want to lay everything out for you so you know exactly what to do.

What follows is a list of what people at different tiers can expect, what's changing, and what actions they need to take. If you back at a high tier, the information in each previous tier also applies to you.

This applies to everyone: Double check that you have a Reward Tier selected. The shifting may have knocked you into "No Reward" status, which precludes you from accessing some of our digital goods (and getting announcements about the same). If you're having any trouble, make sure you're signed up for the rewards you're paying for.

$1 BACKERS
Patreon recently updated with support for Tags. I’ve gone in and labeled a few of the posts as “Patron Extra”. You can find them at this link, if you want immediate access to freebies.

$2 BACKERS
We’re serving up a new Early Release feed that’s more secure and easier to manage, so we will need everyone to subscribe to this new feed. You can find the information in this post.

Slack invitations will remain the same as they’ve always been. New batches of invites will go out on Fridays.

$5 BACKERS
You now have access to Exquisite Suffering, and the easiest way to get this is to subscribe to your ultra special Private Patreon RSS feed. Here’s a help article about how to do that.

Here’s a note for everyone: It might be best to unsubscribe to your old feed, and subscribe to a new one. Patreon doesn’t automatically include new content in their RSS feeds when you switch reward tiers. Only subscribing to the new feed will get you those episodes.

The first Abject Suffrage poll will go out a little later this week, most likely. Watch your email inboxes

$10 BACKERS
You now have access to our premium shows like Adaptation Decay, Try This, and eventually DuckTrax, along with legacy episodes of WOFFTRAX. You can access all of these by subscribing to the premium RSS feed that Patreon provides (see above). Everybody should update their subscription URL after they adjust their pledges in order to ensure they get the newest content.

We will put out a call for questions and prompts for DuckTrax and Bonfireside Chat After Dark after we get those recording sessions scheduled.

We will begin thanking backers at this level (and above) on episodes of WOFF and BSC that record in November.

$25 BACKERS
You will soon get a form sent to you via Patreon Message, which SHOULD go to your email. This is how you will dictate which games you want us to play on Abject Suffering. If you want to forego this reward, please still fill out the form, and just put “NA” in the fields for the game name. This helps me keep track of you.

A small round of physical goods mailings will go out in January. This package might be smaller than what will come later, but I don’t want people who back at this level to have to wait until July to get something.

$50 and $75 BACKERS
I can’t believe there are so many of you already. Once you’ve got 2 months of support at this level under your belt, we will reach out to talk about your choices and preferences. Watch your inboxes or Slack private messages.
