We're not talking about that show.
Instead, we're talking about the soulless and bafflingly-paced miniseries that was originally released alongside Pokémon X and Y. Listen to hear us talk about how Origins jettisons the humor and character of the Pokémon universe in favor of rote representations of the rules of the game.

This was just a 4 ep promotion for x and y, but i ate it up when it came out ngl. But I recently came back back on it and I was extremely bored. I essentially just skipped ahead to mewtwo. It just speeds through all the interesting things in the story (the few parts there actually are) and focused on things I just didn't care for at all.

There’s a lot of modern versions of this that are all much looser and have GORGEOUS animation, jury’s out on quality but like one of them has 7 episodes that range from 6-15 minutes. All on YouTube. Wouldn’t take much time and whether you praise or rip it, it’ll be a good time.
