DuckTRAX Summer 2017 Response Call
Added 2017-07-06 03:20:51 +0000 UTCHello! I hope that you are having a delightful summer (or winter... I don't want to be northern hemisphere normative). It's time for us to gather questions and prompts for the upcoming episode of DuckTRAX, the podcast about our podcasts.
Here's how the drill goes: Leave a comment on this Patreon post with your most pressing query, and we will answer it (unless it's ridiculously gross or personal, and maybe even then).
Examples include:
- Questions about how we make the shows.
- Questions about why we made certain decisions.
- Ask us about particular WOFF! sketches! We love to talk about those.
- Ask us for inane details about daily life.
- Pose impossible hypotheticals of a preferential nature.
The deadline for questions is Tuesday, July 11 at noon Eastern. We are looking forward to goofin' on prompts.

I dug out my PS3 to play Demon's Souls and Dark Souls along with the victory lap of BSC. It had been disconnected from electricity and the internet for well over two years. Getting it back up and running has been a complete nightmare. Have you guys had any problems reviving your PS3s back from the dead? It would make me feel a lot better if you had.

2017-07-11 04:02:35 +0000 UTCI just started a music podcast of my own with a friend of mine (Desert Island Discourse, shameless plug) and I've noticed that, as we trade off editing duties, I can hear a pretty clear difference in our editing styles. Do you two feel like you have individual editing styles? Can you tell the difference between episodes you've edited? Bonus Sketch Question: The Jet Set Radiolab sketch is one of my favorites—it's so spot on, and the editing is great, so I'd love to hear y'all talk about it.

2017-07-10 21:49:20 +0000 UTCWhat videogame-specific ability would you most want to have in real life? Double jump? Inventory screen? Having other people say useful things to you just by pushing a button instead of starting a conversation?

2017-07-10 13:24:24 +0000 UTCIf each of you were sentenced on pain of death to be in an active, touring extreme (death, black, doom, thrash etc.) metal band for the rest of your life (!), what would it be called, what would it sound like, and what would be the lyrical themes you would explore?

2017-07-10 11:19:29 +0000 UTCWhat is the order in which people get thanked on WOFF episodes? Every week I wonder if this is going to be the one.

2017-07-10 11:13:09 +0000 UTCI just found my favorite hat after years of it being lost. Do either of you have a particular piece of clothing/outfit/accessory that's clearly The Favorite?

2017-07-09 11:05:45 +0000 UTCSo... Kabutops. Is the rapper himself Kabutops? Is Kabutops the producer, and leaving a tag at the end like alot of hip-hop producers do today? Is Kabutops like a respected og rapper in this alteranate world and is being paid respect at the end? Or is who evers doing the intro for the first two poke tourneys just love abstractly Kabutops so much they need to let it out?

2017-07-09 01:23:54 +0000 UTCWhat games do you avoid picking for WOFF because they've already been talked about too much? What games are on the "break glass in case of emergency list?"

2017-07-08 15:52:29 +0000 UTCThis is kind of a open ended question so sorry for the vagueness. A lot of podcasters who put out as much material as you guys do burn out after a few years ago. Do you think it's possible this may happen with your podcasts? Where do you see the network in five years time? Is the ultimate stretch goal of quitting work to be able to podcast something you guys want to do, knowing it may increase the chance of burnout? Personaly I hope that never happens, keep up the great work!

2017-07-07 22:01:17 +0000 UTCHave either of you been offered a role in game development? If not, how interested are you in doing so, and how would you prefer to contribute?

2017-07-06 23:50:39 +0000 UTCGary, do you ever worry that the culture of Portland might one day consume you and turn you into a bagpipe playing monstrosity? Kole, are you ever afraid at night, that a para causal space entity might transform your mortal vessel into an animate bowl of chili? (yes, both of those things are equally terrifying).

2017-07-06 21:30:34 +0000 UTCGary, you've written several shorter books so far(that we're really good). Where do you plan to take your writing 'career' next, and do you plan to ever write a longer-form novel?

2017-07-06 13:06:51 +0000 UTCAre you still planning on covering Human Revolution and maybe Mankind Divided? The latter has recaptured a lot of the gameplay greatness of the first one in my opinion. If you were to cover it under the new model, what other vent-crawling Looking Glass type games would you cover? Since you've done a great job of covering the best ones that I can think of :)

2017-07-06 11:20:53 +0000 UTCWhat is a niche interest you'd like to get into if you had infinite time? Also, why do sports still get a bad rap from the nerd set?

2017-07-06 03:31:51 +0000 UTCGary, why don't you scream on podcasts more like you did in that one Abject Suffering where you shouted for Nick? Literally lost my earbuds giggling.
