Call for Responses! DuckTRAX, Spring 2018
Added 2018-04-06 11:49:24 +0000 UTCHi there, lovely backer. This is a call for questions and prompts for the Spring episode of DuckTRAX, our behind-the-scenes Q&A show for backers.
Here's how this works: Leave a comment on this Patreon post with your most pressing query, and we will answer it (unless it's ridiculously gross or personal, and maybe even then).
Examples include:
- Questions about how we make the shows.
- Questions about why we made certain decisions.
- Ask us about particular WOFF! sketches! We love to talk about those.
- Ask us for inane details about daily life.
- Pose impossible hypotheticals of a preferential nature.
The deadline for questions is noon Easternt time on Monday, April 9. We are looking forward to goofin' on prompts.
This episode of DuckTRAX will come out on April 15, 2018.

2018-04-09 02:27:59 +0000 UTCA couple years ago I was pumped to play Persona 2 when it came out on psn. But it was way too archaic for me to fight through. As retro boys, is there a game you really wanted to go back to, but it was just too old and clunky to be any fun and you gave up? (If this is a repeat question you guys can safely ignore it. I am on vacation in Toronto and this is all I could come up with.)

2018-04-08 21:22:03 +0000 UTCHey guys, thanks a lot for some truly wonderful episodes about the Witcher 3. Your WOFF treatment really helped me push through my initial resistance and intimidation and finish what is now easily one of my all time favorite games. So, on the Witcher - what would be the one suggestion that you would each give to the people working on the Witcher tv show for Netflix to make it good?

2018-04-08 16:13:33 +0000 UTCHow do new acquaintances react when you tell them you're a professional podcaster? I'm curious if it's more widely understood these days, or if you still have to fend off a lot of "yeah, but what's your REAL job?" nonsense.

2018-04-08 11:05:24 +0000 UTCOh yes, I know, the new news is encouraging though and I have full faith this will come out. :)

2018-04-08 09:45:20 +0000 UTCI feel like you did not hear the unfortunate news and then slightly more fortunate news about that remake. Short version: be ready to wait a while if it's ever going to exist.

2018-04-08 04:40:09 +0000 UTCHi guys! I was recently talking to an old friend about Microprose's Magic the Gathering game for Windows 95. In it, it had a single player mode, Shandalar, where you walked around on a giant world map, exploring caves and villages in between fights with wandering monsters. You would find or buy cards to add to your deck and it's still my favorite MtG game of all time. So my question for you good, good boys is this: What game property or series do you feel that a much older or obscure entry is still easily the best one?

2018-04-08 03:11:14 +0000 UTCI've never asked a WOFF sketch question before, so here goes! I enjoy most of your sketches but I don't understand at all the one for System Shock 2. It could be that compared to you guys I love the game, and therefore it's going over my head. I'd agree, though, this is a game you needed to play when it first came out, and would also agree the ending is terrible, right up there with Mass Effect 3. Really looking forward to the remake of System Shock due out next year.

2018-04-07 21:21:16 +0000 UTCHey there, you two dudes do a lot of great creative work. I'm curious to hear your advice on staying organized and motivated. Secondly how is Gary's new band going ? Cheers, Anh-Tu

2018-04-07 05:19:43 +0000 UTCI was going to ask a question about upcoming merch, but that seems underwhelming given that I instead think I've figured out your individual personal hells. Gary's is weekly WOFF continues apace but somehow the Patreon's success is tied to all JRPGs all the time, one every two weeks. Kole's is definitely just a creeping moisture following him everywhere and permeating every space he returns to, a cumulative damp. So my question is, should I be correct - what are the perma-hells of the other Duckfeed hosts?

2018-04-07 05:18:39 +0000 UTCIf someone gave you a pen and paper, how many video game titles could you write off the top of your head before getting one wrong?

2018-04-06 22:36:21 +0000 UTCHow thorough are your show scripts for WOFF? I’m interested in how much you guys rely on memory vs notes.

2018-04-06 21:05:11 +0000 UTCI just learned today that there are wasps that are smaller than amoeba (the fairy wasp : http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/notrocketscience/2011/11/30/how-fairy-wasps-cope-with-being-smaller-than-amoebas). What's up with that?

2018-04-06 20:02:12 +0000 UTCDo either of you recall the origin of "when so-and-so isn't on the screen, everybody wants to know: what is so-and-so up to?" I heard it back then, but can't remember which podcast or episode it was.

2018-04-06 18:32:38 +0000 UTCHey guys, this is my first time writing into a DuckTRAX because I didn't realize this was what replaced the old Duckfeed Live. Sad that I didn't get to write in, but a delight once I realized I had five old podcasts to listen to. Anyhow, down to brass tacks. Can you recall specific moments in your life when you fell out of love with a band? I remember the moment in my sophomore year of college where I thought to myself "They Might Be Giants are no longer making music that I like." Same thing happened with the Smashing Pumpkins. I can't decide if it's a stylistic thing or there just becomes a moment when your tastes mature past a certain artist. Anyhow, love the network, etc.
