Call for Responses! DuckTrax Q4, 2018
Added 2018-10-04 14:53:20 +0000 UTCHello! It's that time again, time for another behind-the-scenes Q&A episode.
Here's how this works: Leave a comment on this Patreon post with your most pressing query, and we will answer it (unless it's ridiculously gross or personal, and maybe even then).
Examples include:
- Questions about how we make the shows.
- Questions about why we made certain decisions.
- Ask us about particular WOFF! sketches! We love to talk about those.
- Ask us for inane details about daily life.
- Pose impossible hypotheticals of a preferential nature.
The deadline for questions is 11:59 Eastern on Wednesday October 10. We are looking forward to goofin' on prompts.
This episode of DuckTRAX will come out on October 15, 2018.

Also I finally listened to this batch of E2G so I guess that's a Kole-only question now...

2018-10-10 14:46:44 +0000 UTCI just learned that Rez Infinite is VR compatible. So who's the idiot now?! Still me, but slightly less so.

2018-10-10 02:10:04 +0000 UTCSo I usually wear contacts but recently had my glasses prescription updated. My new glasses made me almost immediately nauseated any time I turned my head, so of course I thought of Kole and his near-perpetual motion sickness. I have a slight astigmatism in each eye and I suspect that the new prescription and frames were giving me optical distortion in my peripheral vision that made everything swimmy and terrible (I’ve since replaced them with smaller frames that have alleviated the problem somewhat). Anyway, since you’re both four-eyed nerds like me, it got me thinking - how bad are y’all’s respective eyes? Would contacts be a viable non-motion-sickness option? 2018-10-08 20:04:28 +0000 UTCDo you ever settle on a game to cover on a show, start playing it, realize it’s a total disappointment and there isn’t enough to talk about, and select a different game without saying anything? Have you ever wanted to do this but had to push through and discuss a real pile of a game due to time constraints?

2018-10-07 20:38:30 +0000 UTC(This is Greg Polander). I've felt that for a few years now we're living in a 'golden age' of gaming. There are a lot of good Triple A games coming out, the indie market is booming, remaking games is in full swing, and there a ton of retro games coming out. There's something for everyone, and with easier access and cheaper prices then ever before. Yet a lot of gamers and analysts figure that we're heading for a crash in the gaming market, or at the least major correction. I'd be the first to agree that there are many and numerous problems with the current gaming market, loot boxes being one big example. But I'm also a 'glass half full' guy on everything. I can't see the whole market crashing again like it did in 1983-84....too many safeguards in place. I think, however, over the next five years we're going to see a shakeout in the industry. Major companies are either going to go under or be forced to radically change their business style, competitors will pop up to Steam and GOG, gaming devices will become all in one, and digital downloads and streaming will take fully over. What do you guys think about all of this? Agree or disagree? Keep up all the great work!

2018-10-06 19:59:34 +0000 UTCKentucky Route Zero Act V seems to be coming out very soon, which has me wondering - do you think a game without what people would traditionally call "gameplay" would work for WOFF? Something like Kentucky Route Zero or Gone Home or a Stanley Parable/Beginner's Guide split EP would make for terrific discussion, but there aren't a ton of puzzles or bosses or whatever to talk about.

2018-10-05 07:41:44 +0000 UTCThe Slack is a great perk of backing Duckfeed, and the whole Duckfeed family very actively interacts with their audience on a regular basis there. Do you ever feel that you censor yourselves there a little for the benefit of your fans, i.e. do you try to couch disagreements and other opinions in milder language than you otherwise might if you didn’t have a paying audience present at all times?
