2019-07-03 23:35:13 +0000 UTCYou know what? Iβve platinumed Sekiro, easily my favorite game this year and I think Iβm pretty good at it (which was a surprise to me initially). I still donβt fuck with the white apes that dual wield swords.

The first time I fought Guardian Ape I beat him and chopped off his head and was surprised, I thought wow I'm surprised I actually beat a boss first time... then the body started moving and I just started laughing hysterically and said "Oh shit, I forgot I was playing a From game, of course there's a second phase!" It kind of worked out even more perfectly being able to get to that on my first time trying the boss. Then I got walloped a couple of times figuring out the headless phase or not playing as great again on the 1st phase. Yeah the terror scream was definitely dreaded. I almost always got hit by at least a portion of it no matter how fast I ran away. Later learned that behind the ape the AOE doesn't reach as far as in front of him. But I definitely liked this fight and figuring out the deflects to get the big overhead for some guaranteed damage. I didn't learn about spearing out the worm until after I finished the game and watched a speedrun to see what kind of tactics were used on different bosses.

2019-07-01 21:44:00 +0000 UTCYup I got a sneak attack on this snake eyes every playthrough also; but that was a couple months ago, so Iβm also unsure about patches affecting it

2019-07-01 21:42:43 +0000 UTCI usually clear them out backwards from gun fort idol. and coming around back can always get a sneak attack. It might help that i barely alert anyone on the way as I've found some bosses seem to just auto alert once they've been alerted at all.

2019-07-01 04:15:38 +0000 UTCunless they've patched it you CAN get a sneak attack on Snake Eyes you just have to be VERY precise about it. If you go up behind her but don't touch her she will shift position into her "look about" animation for a little and the DB icon will appear briefly. This was before the O'Rin DB was patched so they may have taken this one out as well.
