Unfilmable 14: Re-Animator

Re-Animator is an extremely fun movie. It was the debut of Stuart Gordon (rest in peace), Jeffrey Combs, and Barbara Crampton, and it looms large in the world of Lovecraft film adaptations. It takes one of Lovecraft's lesser stories and moves it to the present day, making it a straight-up horror comedy classic.

Love you guys and the content you make! Have any of you been able to seen Brian Yuzna's "Society"? It totally seems up your alley!

Such a classic. This movie is directly responsible for my interest in Lovecraft. As a kid back in the 80's, I saw it and decided to look up this "Lovecraft" fellow at my local library. Got hooked, still hooked, may the old ones have mercy on what passes for my soul. Thanks for covering this!

Some of the first season of Channel Zero was filmed in a town in Manitoba where I grew up. During the first episode I thought things looked a little familiar, and my suspicions were confirmed when the neon sign of the Garry Theatre popped up in the background of a shot. Also, I still have the special edition DVD of Re-Animator with the weird green syringe/highlighter. I wonder if it still works...
