(4/20) Updates
Added 2024-04-20 15:46:55 +0000 UTCI've spent some time updating the "About" part of my Patreon to more accurately reflect what I am up to and my goals. Plus, I finally found my Stephen King book On Writing, and I really wanted to find a particular quote. I'm definitely going to spend some time rereading this book, which I think is the best book to have been assigned to me in college.
I also included a paragraph to talk about the role of AI in my writing process. I like that when I am stuck, I can "chat" with an AI to get my creative juices flowing again or get some ideas for dialogue and character physical descriptions, which is something that I am playing with at present. My writing remains largely my own, and I do not intend to use AI to write an entire story for me. While I'm sure AI could eventually be trained to write some really good stuff, I write because I like to write, and I don't want a robot replacing what, for me, is a way for me to relax.
Though, I wouldn't mind a nice mindless drone for some company or inspiration while I write! :)
Today, after enjoying some sunshine with friends, I will read over and post the chapter to the story that is due on Patreon today. It is an idea that a friend and I brainstormed over, and I'm happy to finally be putting some serious work into it. I will let you know when I post it, and I hope you like it.
