Unfilmable 30: Synchronic

This sets Steve to investigating a designer drug that, accidentally, has "time travel" as its side effect. This is our least favorite Moorhead and Benson film, primarily because of its thematic sloppiness. There's still plenty to recommend it, like the visual effects and Anthony Mackie's performance, but understand that the Endless still reigns supreme in the "horror with a heart" genre.

Perhaps someday. I have seen it and was pretty disappointed. Great practical effects and a cool cult let down by really bad performances, imo. -GB

2021-09-02 02:09:12 +0000 UTCIt's an incredibly understandable mix-up but it's still very funny that Gary said "Dave Eggers" instead of "Robert Eggers" when listing his top tier modern horror directors. "I loved that movie Away We Go....scared the hell outta me!"
