Also don't underestimate housecats, they're the most successful mammalian predators and they're almost custom built for fighting things bigger than they are and coming out alive. Their loose, baggy skin makes them almost impossible to cut seriously or grab onto even considering that whatever you use to try and grab them is going to get shredded. A cat that's in panic mode has a pretty good shot at survival against a big dog, and they've even been known to take down deer.

2021-10-22 19:49:47 +0000 UTCYou know it's funny but actually endurance is the main physical advantage humans have over most other animals; where the majority of predators are tuned for short bursts of speed and power while humans are built for energy efficiency. You couldn't outrun many four legged animals but with the exception of horses and cattle and their relatives you could definitely run further than them if you paced yourself because you only have two legs to move while they have four, and gravity does half the work of moving you forward while it does none of the work for them
