Left 4 Dead 2 Community Server
Added 2021-10-15 22:00:14 +0000 UTCHello! I'm writing to share details of how to play on the Left 4 Dead 2 community server in advance of the WOFF! episode about the game.
I've rented a dedicated server and have set it to only allow people who are part of a temporary group I've created for this community event. To play
- 1. Join the Duckfeed Left 4 Dead 2 Group.
- 2. Wait for Kole to approve your group membership (he will do his best to check this a couple of times a day).
- 3. Launch Left 4 Dead 2.
- 4. Click "Steam Group Servers" at the bottom right of the title screen.
- 5. Select the Duckfeed Left 4 Dead 2 server.
I would recommend arranging game times in the #co-op-and-multiplayer channel on the Duckfeed Slack.
A few explanations:
- All Duckfeed community rules apply. If we see harassment or hate speech, we will kick you and ban you from the server. Please be respectful of each other.
- The server is patron and group exclusive because Left 4 Dead games have small player caps, and we want to make sure the available slots go to community members.
- We're not using an existing Steam Group because we want to minimize opportunities for pubbies to get in.
- We will be playing with a vanilla setup because that's how we prefer to cover games for the show.
- We won't be taking requests to add custom maps or modes.
- We're opting to rely on in-game voice chat instead of a Discord server because we don't want to administer another community service.
The server and group will be taken down toward the end of November after our coverage has moved on.
I hope this answers your questions, and I hope to Leave 4 Dead with you at some point!
Kole

Requested to join. My steam name is One Oh Eight, but the original account name was el33tcapitan. Not sure how the request shows.
