This week we continue playing the excellent Soulsike Metroidvania game Grime, heading through the rock nursery of Lithic before meeting the godlike Shidra and venturing into the meaty, nervy bowels where the Feasters dwell.

I went back and revisited some areas with wonky jumps and did manage to puzzle out a few more. I also found about a dozen secrets I completely passed by including the Owl Vendor, and I'm pretty diligent about keeping an eye out. Again, your comments about just how many secrets there are is spot on. It's kind of staggering.

You get a double jump VERY late, but you can do a lot with hovering with the grab and air dashing. If you're seeing TONS of places you can't get, you might be able to get to a good number of them.

I'm a fair way into this game, and not having a double jump (yet, hopefully) is killing me. I assume there is one because of the genre, and also the roughly 5000 places I can't quite reach with a single jump. Also you guys weren't kidding about the first boss really underplaying the difficulty of future bosses. YEESH.

I'm showing my age a bit, but this game reminds me the most of the Shadow of the Beast series on Commodore Amiga. The combo of this aesthetic with the Metroidvania and Dark Souls gameplay is a real sweet spot for me!
