Hello and thank you, to new backers and old. If you just learned about us on a search for Souls content, or dropped off at some point and came back, we're very happy to have you here.

Elden Ring's release will bring a lot of new people here for our coverage of that show, and we want to make things easier for you. I had a number of backend improvements planned to get done before launch, but I ran out of time. And that's fine. What follows is simple FYI stuff to get you rolling as soon as possible.

WHERE'S THE ELDEN RING COVERAGE?

The current plan is for the Elden Ring First Impressions episode to be released on March 6, with the season proper happening soon after. Both Gary and I are playing the game now, and its surprises may necessitate changes in plans. It's an exciting uncertainty.

HOW DO I ACCESS THE PREMIUM BONFIRESIDE CHAT EPISODES?

You can listen to the show two ways. You can get the complete Premium feed containing all of the bonus content you are entitled to by following Patreon's directions for how to use your Private RSS feed. 

While it's our hope that you'll check out our other shows, some people really just want Bonfireside Chat. If that's the case, we've set up the ability for patrons to subscribe to a private feed of just Bonfireside Chat using their Patreon credentials. Just click here and use the links at the bottom of the page. 

A major note on this show-specific feed: It will not work on Pocketcasts. This is a known issue and it relates to how they add private feeds. We regret that this is complicated by their back-end, but there's nothing we can do. Both Apple and Google offer free podcast apps you can use for these feeds.

I WANT EARLY RELEASE EPISODES

Edit: This information is out of date as of May 1, 2022. We no longer offer the Early Release perk, and have replaced it with other stuff.

Publicly available shows can be accessed early by using our new Early Release feed, the Duckfeed Early Bird. You can access it by using a method similar to the Bonfireside Chat specific feed. Click here and use the Patreon buttons at the bottom of the page. A broader announcement about Early Release will happen sometime this weekend, most likely.

CONCLUSION

There are many more changes coming, all of which are designed to make everything easier around here. If there's enough interest, I could even share my roadmap for it. But that might be boring.
