Hey everyone - here is a pdf tutorial for painting the grey skin of the Ogroid Myrmidon. In this tutorial i use stippling to paint the skin - but you can also use glazing, or just a traditional layering. I have added a link for how i stipple, but remember that this weekend will there also be a new video tutorial for "how to stipple" wich is more in dept in the different stages.
The way i located the most raised & upper parts of the muscles & skin, was just that i took a picture of the ogroid under my desk lamp in the angle i wanted the light to hit the skin (After it was primed - see picture 2 & 3). This is an easy way to get the most natural look on your mini, and it doesnt take more then a couple of seconds. I also talk about locating light reflections in the number 2 link below.
If you dont have the Dark blue grey & Silver grey paints i used from Vallejo, then Mechanicus std grey & ulthian grey can also be used as alternatives.
I hope you will like the tutorial!
Have a nice day guys!
Best regards Nikolas
