Stippling NMM gold armour video tutorial - Stormcast eternal
Added 2020-01-17 07:01:00 +0000 UTCHey everyone - here is the video tutorial for stippling the nmm gold armour on a stormcast eternal. The technique behind this tutorial is completely the same as my other video tutorial for stippling nmm gold on a chaos warrior shield - so i recommend you to watch the first steps of that video too, before trying this technique out.
Stippling is a great technique to create texture - and therefor a great technique to create a damaged, old & weathered kind of look - wich i think works great on a gold armour on a stormcast eternal.
I have added the photo i used as a reference to locate the light reflections. I just held the stormcast mini underneath my desk lamp, in the angle i wanted the light reflection to accure on the armour. It sounds easy & simple - and it really is !
I look forward to hear about your experiences with this technique - in the next couple of days will i also post PDF tutorials for painting the blue shoulder pads, & for the nmm steel hammer. So stay tuned!

Furthermore it also helps on the transitions between the different colours- in my video for stippling nmm gold on the chaos warrior shield i also explain a bit about it in One of the first steps 😊
