Stippling Death Guard Champion armour Video tutorial

I have shown it on the stomach armour area as this has the biggest surface on the mini - but the recipe is totally the same for the rest of armour areas. I hope you like it :)

Hey Emil - i personally Think that the fact that you can see some of the dots isnt a bad thing - it gives the armour some texture, and a kind of damaged look. If you want the dots to fade more i out, i would work more on adding smaller amounts of paints you want to mix - for example instead of adding 1 part of elysian green to 1 part of waaagh flesh , add 1 parts of waagh flesh to 1/4 part of elysian green, then stipple, and then add 1/2 part and so on and so on. It will take a hell of many more steps but it will give you smoother transitions and less visible dots ๐ you can also have less visible dots by adding more water to your paint mixes. But again, this will cost you more time as there will be very little pigment in the paint mixes ๐

2020-02-04 20:13:55 +0000 UTCI like the ease of this method. However, when looking close-up, the stippling becomes visible. Is the solution to add more dots in more tonal variation, or to glaze over the highlights with the mid-tone?
