Castigor NMM steel armour video tutorial + pdf tutorial for painting NMM warm gold

Hey everyone - here is a video tutorial for painting the NMM steel armour of the stormcast eternal Castigor. There is furthermore a pdf tutorial for painting the NMM gold areas too - i have added a video reference below for how i glaze NMM gold. I have also added a picture below, that i took of the castigor under my desk lamp, in order to locate the light reflections.  I hope you will like it :)

Marble shoulder pad:  1:1 mix of Buff from vallejo / Intermediate blue - then start adding ivory from vallejo to that , moving towards the light reflections. At last adding a small dot of white in the middle . To give it some dept, thin down intermediate blue with 3-4 parts of water, and shade the recesess. Done!

Have a nice sunday everyone!

Best regards Nikolas

(remember to watch the video in HD :D )

Hey Sam :) Hehe yes i am - i am not proud of it & i would never recommend anyone to put the brush in their mouth because of the paints within, but it is a technique for me to add more moist to the brush, when i do especially glazing. So, its a way to thin down your paint really :D I wipe the brush on my hand, to get rid of any excess paint - some use their pallet & paper towel, but it works totally fine for me on my hand :)

Thanks! Are you putting the brush in your mouth sometimes? Is that your technique to remove excess paint or are you doing it to wet the brush? Or is there some other reason? And why are you sometimes wiping on your hand and not on paper towel? Do you find skin allows you to better control how much paint you remove from the brush? Or are you just checking the colour?
