Bastian Carthalos NMM gold PDF tutorial

Hey man - the result of the different steps, can variey from the pictures shown & the from the painters try on it, because of a couple of things. The mixes added, lets say 1 part, wich is one brush full, can be different from painter to painter. Pictures can also be just a small different in tone in the tutorials, that you will see in real life, because of background / light disturbance. With that being said i have already seen amazing results of patreons using this tutorial for the precise same model, so i havent heard any difficulties before CJ commented on it - but as there wasnt a follow up on my question i wasnt aware of the actual issue. Here is my idea - if the result you have is way darker og way brighter than the tutorial - simply just try to add lesser of abaddon black / or the darker paint or the brighter paint used in the step - in this case, its the abaddon black in the first step, that could have a different result in the basecoat mix - so then just try to add a 1/2 part instead for example. this will not change the rest of the steps. This will simply just make the result brighter., following from the basecoat step - you still have the shading steps later on, wich will create the contrast that you want in NMM. I do though really appreciate the feedback & heads up - so thanks a lot for that :) I will definatly do my best to avoid confusions like this in the future.

Second this, the base mix if followed in the PDF is much darker than shown which throws off the whole tutorial as the highlights are all built up from the base mix unfortunately

Thanks Thomas ! Placing the secondary reflections is kind of freestyling - light reflections can look very different depending on the metal & also how many light reflections that will appear on the metal. On this specific armour i placed them parralel to the main light reflections , basically just on the shaded areas.
