Dol Guldur setting finished. Competition piece in the making!

Hey guys - ive been working on this Dol Guldur setting from the Hobbit, for a competition piece. The setting is basically cut out of pieces from the Middleearth scenery & then added a couple of details. If you want to know how i painted parts of it, just leave a comment :) I will keep you updated!

Stay tuned for more tutorials soon !

Best regards Nikolas

That is done with Dark sea blue, Black & Dark grey basecoat. Then highlighted by adding silver grey to the mix :) I then added some green glazes with Coelian greenshade & Dark angels contrast 1:1 - added 2 parts of water :D

How did you do the stonework? I love the tones of the piece.

Hi! I love it! Do you plan to share a tutorial for this piece? Thank you for your amazing work 🤘

Its a basecoat of dark sand, british khaki & dark grey. Then added more & more dark sand towards the light reflections. I then glazed here & there with seraphim sepia & some greenish washes from Citadel (Cant remember the name :/)

I love the bones. How did you achieve that color?

Thanks a lot :) !

Thanks Steve! It was basecoat with a 1:1 mix of leadbealcher & abaddon black - then added Dark rust & medium rust pigments from AK interactive. I then added skrag brown in the deepest recesses. Finally highlighted with leadbealcher & silver (Valleo mc) :)

Love the tone on the bricks - beautiful!

Amazing (as always!). I'd be interested in learning how to do the rusted metal. Cheers from Canada!!
