Weathered transfers mini guide
Added 2023-02-15 23:08:46 +0000 UTCHey guys - some of you asked a while ago, how i did the Weathered transfers on the cadia troopers, so here is a quickly guide.
1) We start by making sure, there isnt any dust or anything on the place we will place the transfer - in this case the shoulder armour. We then apply a layer of ardcoat (citadel) to the same area.
2) we now apply the transfer (transfers is from the new Astra Militarum box set) , & add ardcoat on top of it aswell.
3) we now give the transfer area some layers of Ultra Matte varnish (i use the AK one, & just apply it with my brush), to take the gloss Away from the ardcoat. We now add scratches, by painting thin lines & dots with the same mix, as the most shaded areas. In this case a 2:1 mix of Black green & black.
4) we now give the whole transfer area a layer of seraphim sepia. We give it around 3 layers on the areas we want the most shaded down.
We can now go in with white, & highlight some of the areas closest to the reflections if we want. Done ! π
