Unsure of the Future

Today I found out that a large chunk of the new patreon people to sign up this month were in fact fake accounts used to troll me, steal art, raise my pledges then decline payment and ultimately screw me over. Fun.

Everyone legit will get the art they are owed. After that I don't know if I'm going to bother with the entire art online business any longer.

Never make a big decision while emotional.. so I'm going to step away and think it over.

For those that were always honest and supportive, thank you.

it would seem alot of ppl are getting the same thing, it realy pains me to see this happening to you guys. :(

Wow... that's just fucking horrible I'm so sorry people could actually do that to you. Your far too nice for shit like that.

Verge

I'm sorry to hear that man. People are like that are just assholes. Maybe you could try something that some other artists do and host the actual art off-site and distribute a password to everyone to access it once their payment is approved.

I'm very sorry to hear this. Please don't let the trolls dissuade you; we love your work, and would hate to see you go :)

Sorry to hear it. It's more effort, but sending reward messages as others have mentioned may help. Or y'know, Patreon could somehow prevent people from trolling via pledge, bleh.

infernalperson

The only thing I can think of is to switch to email for bonuses/most art postings, sent out after pledges are confirmed. It's what most of the people I support have to do now.

DonAnon

Urgh, that's horrible. :( So sorry to hear people are taking advantage like that.
