I had that issue. I had to update my card and verify things. Should be resolved now though.

2018-08-02 20:52:17 +0000 UTCIt is happening sitewide. Patreon changed its billing processor to a company in the UK, so a lot of US banks declined the payments because they were flagged as suspicious :o so people in the US have to call their bank if they pledges don't go through.
