People of the Dark - Campaign

1.10 - Author: Zamnath

The People of the Dark fan campaign explores themes of memory and cyclical civilization development. Survivors will build a settlement that will develop quickly but be subject to periodic eradication, forcing the settlement to reset certain elements on their settlement record sheet as the shadowy monster guiding their overall development robs them of memory, identity, and innovation.

At the same time, however, certain elements of the civilization will persist through the cycle of death and rebirth, kept alive by the campaign's unique buildings and savior replacements, the Bleak Ones. If you are prone to getting attached to individual survivors over the course of the campaign, or do not like dealing with the frustrations of losing progress, this campaign might not be for you.

On the other hand, if you enjoy taking advantage of Kingdom Death's NG+ feature, or would like to explore a series of interconnected mini-campaigns, my hope is that this fan expansion will work for you. I am trying to design this expansion to take a bit more time to reach its end than a normal campaign, but its overall structure should lend well to periodic play.

Note: This fan campaign uses the Slenderman and Lion God as a basis for its unique nemesis and end game required nemesis monsters.

You would.

I'm trying out this campaign now - so far, loving it - and wanted to check - do I do a random event each settlement like I would do in People of the Lantern? I'm assuming so, but the settlement sheet doesn't include it so I thought I'd check. Thanks.

Derek, since there is so few cards best thing would be to just add to another MPC order. I will be building a hardback book for all it our stuff at some point, until then there are no great softback printers we use.

How do you go about printing the cards for this? Is there a size of paper or size it should be printed at? Also is there a special way to print the books? I normally print at a UPS store.
