Three arcanes are born but only one is destined to be raised with love and care by a family unlike any other.
Jason Argos was to be born and whisked away. A life of misery to await him until he is old enough to be whisked away again and returned to the world of magic. Jason Argos was meant to be a hero.
Damien Morlock was to be born and loved. He was to be coddled and adored and raised surrounded by magic, even in the most mundane of ways. Damien Morlock was meant to be a villain.
Damien Morlock was also meant to be born with a stillborn twin.
Medea Morlock was meant to be that twin, her first breath meant to be her last.
So, it is very curious indeed that there are two babies cries resounding in the private birthing ward of the Morlock Mystic Hospital in Chelsea, London.
Perhaps, had Fate noticed this anomaly, she would have snuffed Medea’s life out then and there. But, alas, Fate had been focusing her attention at a particular mid-sized home hundreds of miles away in Manchester. A home where a twelve hour old Jason Argos was being taken from his crib by a cloaked individual with a distinct symbol engraved on their hand.

Similarly, should one examine the Morlock Mansion gates, just a bit away from the hospital in Kensington, one would find such a symbol emblazoned prominently at the center in a brilliant silver, two emeralds where the serpent's eyes would be.
