Hello!!! Chapter Delay!!
Added 2025-02-06 04:39:43 +0000 UTCIn an effort to 1) not burn myself out, 2) maybe actually get some sleep, and 3) be more communicative with my writing process, I am gonna have to announce that I’m pushing back the chapter tonight. It’ll still come out tomorrow (it’s at about a 50% polished mark, so it’ll be the first thing I do after work).
The past month I’ve finally gotten back into the creative groove, but with that is coming a lot of editing struggles. I’m pushing myself harder to write more, to reference and cross-reference and finish every side plot with a neat little bow, and still push forward the main plot of A Shade of Dawn.
We’re about at the 33% mark, which means I do have plenty of time for the side plots but in order to make sure nothing gets lost I am constantly looking at my timeline, past chapters, and even past books. Which means the actual writing is slow going.
Anyway, I’m sorry I’ve been posting on the wire the past few weeks.
I usually try not to apologize too much —and instead focus on how grateful I am to have an audience to apologize to, but I feel like after 2 months of off and on silence and now just barely a month back into regular posting, I’m fighting to gain back your trust in my consistency. Maybe that’s dramatic but hey! I’m a writer, drama is in my blood.
I just want you to know, I love Nora’s story with my whole heart and I’m trying to do it justice —for you and for me. I love writing, it’s my favorite thing to do and the way I spend most of my free time.
Sorry if this got a bit sappy but I love you guys, and I wouldn’t be able to share Nora’s story if it wasn’t for you.
