To the magic question: mages ARE typically contracted to at least one elemental. But depending on your Class you can perform magic with your Skills. A lot of mages have a special skill that allows them to craft spells with a combination of Skills. The duke will remain a mystery! The Callistan Empire to the West is more dictatorial than Maeve, but Gracek (small country to the southwest) is more laid back as an island nation. There are 3-4 other countries. But outside Maeve, they’ve just ended a warring era and are at a tenuous peace. Opalle is the continent and it’s very large. There are four other continents- Topad, Amherst, and Esmer. They all worship the same pantheon but different gods are more popular in different places. Thank you for so many questions!!!

Oh, and I'm really interested in that duke who gods don't like and smite sometimes. If there's going to be plot about that I'll wait 😀😀. And about world, what other countries/empires are like? What about other continents? Are they worshipping same gods? That's many questions in one 😀😀 feel free to answer any one of them.
