Added 2022-07-26 14:01:04 +0000 UTCThe Disney Afternoon cartoons delighted a whole generation. Every one except for TaleSpin, which was clearly the weakest link. It was in the unenviable position of having to go up against DuckTales and Darkwing Duck, so it never stood a chance. But it was popular enough to get a video game adaptation. A kinda good one, made by Capcom. We're not talking about that one. Instead, we're talking about the execrable Sega version, exemplified by its Game Gear port.

A little fun fact about Talespin: I'm from Germany and Disney has the habit of 'translating' their show / movie titles and even character names. I was at a loss when I read 'Talespin' until I saw the thumbnail. Here the show was called (translated back to english) 'Captain Balou and his crew'... And since you mentioned the Gummi Bears: For those you are into fun metal, check out Leo Moracchioli's metal cover of the theme sond on Youtube. That combination should not work, but it does, beautifully.
