2023-04-04 21:26:42 +0000 UTCFun fact; Peter Watts wrote a Crysis tie-in novel which apparently heavily influenced 3 and gave us this great line: 'a deadly weapon system made from alien upgrades and knotted nano-musclepacks wrapped around a stolen corpse, dreaming it was once a man named Laurence Barnes.' I hear it's a good book, has nods to Rifters. Crytek's technical excellence seems to have shifted laterally to audio a bit; Hunt: Showdown badly needs a co-op mode but it looks gorgeous and I've been more impressed by the sound design (I also hum the music pretty regularly).
