A Quick One Before The Big One - 09/01/2021

Hey ya'll, hope all's well! ^^

With the beginning of the month, I just wanted to give everyone a brief update. Editing is still coming a together splendidly! About to break the 3 hour mark which officially makes this the longest video I've ever made, Days 9 and 10 are currently complete and I fully expect rough cut editing for Day 11 to be complete in the next few days, which of course will only leave the finale on Day 12! And as a cherry on top, I have also completed the rough cut of the intro which will lead into the main show as well. All of this to day that this video is getting terrifyingly close to being done. I fully expect that we will have a rough cut of the full video by the end of the month. When exactly it will all get the final cut polish and finally get posted publicly is something we'll need to figure out a bit closer to that final deadline and will largely be dependent on whether I've received all the assets, but you fine people will definitely get to see it all well before anyone else.

So, if things are going so well, why is there no preview attached to this update then?

Well, quite simply, because while the rough cut for these days are effectively complete and viewing them right now will give a really strong idea of how the final product will look, that doesn't mean they're quite good yet. I am still waiting on almost all the dialogue for Day 8, and no matter how I try to convince myself, I can't manage to talk myself into viewing it as anything but a slog without those assets, and naturally since Day 8 leads into Day 9 which leads into etc., I'd rather no post any later days without the earlier days to build up to it if I can help it, so I'd still like to hold off just a bit longer till I have a little more in hand.

Fortunately, I have good reason to believe I'll be getting those assets in the next week or so and when the time comes, I'll be able to easily and quickly plug them in. Once we have that though, it's basically a straight shot to the end: The big silverlining here is all of this means that, when I *do* post the next preview, it is going to be a MASSIVE one containing Days 6-10, as well as some more info on what we have in store for the grand finale. There will definitely be another preview in the next couple weeks. Even if for whatever reason I still don't have those lines by the middle of the month however, I will be sure to at least post Day 9 so you can all see what I've been up to. For now though, I'd like to wait just a little longer before showing off anything major. Apologies for the delay, but I promise it'll be worth it~
