Adaptation Decay 77: Double Dragon (1994)

I dunno man, it sounds like we didn't really appreciate what we had in the 90s.

is that the localization or the graphics? I don't remember much text in the games, it just doesn't look post apocalyptic at all. -GB

I just got around to listening to this and wanted to "ACTUALLY," for a moment: The original Double Dragon games DO take place in a post-apocalypse. The original game takes place in NYC after a nuclear war. It's supposed to be more Fist of the North Star than it is The Warriors. The NA localizations pretty much all ignore this aspect though and just lean into the street gang aspect.

If you guys are wondering what to cover next might I recommend Dragon Age: Absolution, the Netflix animated series? It's 6 20 minuet episodes so basically a long movie. It moves at a quick pace and covers some of the more interesting parts of the Dragon Age world that haven't been explored. It's at worst a fun snack. Also, great episode. I watched this movie as a wee boy and was probably the target demographic; kids to young and stupid to know how a movie should function.

I feel like Synecdoche is a horror movie, more or less. -GB

Not that I want any of the shows to die but being caught up on bonfireside chat, unfilmable, watch out for fireballs, adaptation decay, and catching up on abject suffering every time synecdoche, new york has come up (and it's a lot) I've wished to hear it covered on a podcast (filmables?) so I would adore a general movie podcast as unfilmable and the movie episodes of adaptation decay are always my favourite, plus as Gary once said only the things discussed on podcasts are able to be taken to heaven with us
