I know you said you don't actually want to know, but... Christopher's son being evil is taken right from the plot of Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge(the 2nd GB game). You play Christopher again in that game and his son, Soleil, is being controlled by Dracula. Although in the game I think it's just magic mind control, and not, you know...Dracula's evil seed being implanted in Christopher's wife...

I've always said the biggest flaw with Castlevania IP: Not enough incest.

Daybreakers is absolutely worth a watch. I'm not in the pocket for Vampire stuff generally but there's some wild scenes in it. Interesting idea, not the greatest execution.

I don't know that I knew they were a thing! -GB

I for one will second this because even if you guys don’t like it cause it’s too anime it will 100% be nice to have more voices in support of this doing really cool and creative works. The art and animation are miles better than season 1 of the last series. It’s a more complete part 1, the way it does tie what little lore Rondo has into this story about colonialism and classism and gives all the maidens you just have to save AGENCY and meaning and it really is a great show.

ya''ll ever think about doin the Metal Gear comics?

I wonder if you guys would consider (once the strike is well and fully over, worker solidarity) giving Castlevania Nocturne a look. I, too, don't care about plot in my castlevania games by and large, but Nocturne may be the most based as fuck mainstream (or semi-mainstream, it's hard to tell) show I've ever seen. It gets elbow deep in revolution, violent uprising against violent oppression, and not a single finger us waged at that. It may activate Gary's anime cilantro taste, but I'd say it's more like Berserk in terms of general anime asthetics and tropes. It's worth checking for how they adapted Anette alone, going from just Ricther's girlfriend to a leader of the Haitian slave revolution is an obviously massive improvement.

I love that the Havel’s dragon dildo thing will never leave Kole.

Yes dear god guys. I need this as badly as I need the GBV era by era show. I’ve tried to subtly slide this into Hexcrank chat a time or two ngl

If the strike is still going on, would you guys ever consider doing a book review of House of Leaves? I loved that book after hearing you guys effusively recommending it early on in your Duckfeed careers.
