My first game! Still remember coming out on Christmas morning to my dad finishing the hookup of our new SNES and diving into this head first. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

2025-02-08 05:06:31 +0000 UTCSMW is the first game I remember playing, I must've been 3 or 4 when we got it, and it's still one of my favorite games all of time. I remember our friend showing my brother and I how to access the Star World, using it to get to Bowser, and showing us the secret stages and Autumn mode. Discovering something that wasn't explicitly explained was so cool, like the 3 up in one of the earlier stages if you go back with the cape. I remember being the first of my siblings to figure out how to replay castles, finding the hidden one up in the wall in the second castle, and finding out you could cheese certain bosses (like the second castle boss) by throwing 2 fireballs at him before jumping on him which makes the game think you hit him 3 times. I still replay it about once a year

2024-04-18 21:09:09 +0000 UTCMy FAVORITE Mario game of all time. I spent endless days and nights with my cousins completing this whole game on the SNES, back in the day. Even had dreams where I swore there was a whole set of hidden levels we didnt even discover yet.

2024-04-18 20:59:23 +0000 UTCi replayed SMW in anticipation of this episode intending to just do a quick run through and ended up unlocking every exit!! which is what happens pretty much every time i replay it, just can't put it down that quickly. Wonderful, joyous game. Best SFX in a platformer imo
